My submission for the August 2024 3D Community Challenge: Kinetic Rush. Inspired by the Halo Reach Deliver Hope live-action commercial which is still one of my favorite marketing campaigns for a video game.
This project was a fun way to get a stronger understanding of the animation workflow within UE5 utilizing the sequencer. All characters were rigged by myself within Maya using Advanced Skeleton. From here, a bone structure was exported to UE5 where a Control Rig was setup for each character. All characters utilized mocap animation for retargeting and initial setup. Control Rig was then used through the Sequencer to blend animation and make adjustments to fit each character's unique body.
