This project was used as a test to gain a better understanding of the animation workflow between Maya and UE5. I had initially saw the Maya viewport render of this shot posted on LinkedIn by an animator asking if anyone would like to contribute to this shot. Rigging and Animation of the two wildebeests were done in Maya. Hair groom was done within Houdini and exported as a static alembic. My task was to assemble the entire piece within UE5: setting up the skeletal meshes, materials, fur simulation, build the environment, light, and composite the shot.
