“I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the Earth. And I might have been given a bad break, but I’ve got an awful lot to live for.” These iconic words were spoken by Lou Gehrig during his “Luckiest Man” speech on July 4th, 1939. Fast forward to 2021, our dedicated team undertook the responsibility of crafting digital art pieces as a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Gehrig. In this project, my primary role encompassed the meticulous look development of two distinct busts, while also overseeing the intricate aspects of lighting, rendering, and compositing for each piece. The noble cause behind these digital creations was to support ALS charities, emphasizing the profound impact of Gehrig’s legacy.
